Hypnosis in Centurion
Hypnosis is the tool I use to empower my clients,
so that they can change their reality and enjoy their life more!
Pain is a signal sent from your body to the mind. The mind interprets this signal and sends a signal back to the body. In hypnosis we work with the mind and the messages the mind interprets.
In the Hypnotic Weight Loss Program we work with your thoughts, your relationship with food and exercise, automatic behaviours and reactions, your habits and the emotional and unconscious reasons for overeating.
The Stop Smoking Program focuses on the three main components of smoking. The physical component, in other words, the cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The emotional component and then the automatic or habitual component.
What exactly is hypnosis? The answer will differ depending on who you ask. The reason for this is that hypnosis is very context driven, thus the definition will change when the context changes. Another challenge with the definition is that different schools have different ways of hypnotising people. The most important thing to understand however, is that hypnosis is something you can use to your advantage, whether it's for personal change or entertainment.
One thing is certain, hypnosis is a learning process. The more you practice or engage with hypnosis the better you become at it.
I define hypnosis as: "Hypnosis is a communication process with that part of us that is responsible for our automatic behaviours and reactions as well as our emotions, habits and beliefs."
People often refer to this part of us as the subconscious or unconscious mind.
Hypnosis can be described as a learning process, where we learn to control and change our internal processes and reactions, that happen automatically.
During hypnosis your mind is always alert and actively takes part in the process. During the process you'll hear everything that is being said and you'll remember just as much as you would from a normal conversation, unless it was otherwise suggested and you accepted the suggestion. Instead of losing control, one learns to take control of those aspects that usually seem outside of our control.
We enter hypnosis through the bypassing of our mind's critical faculty (filter) and establishing communication directly with the subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is there to protect you and only wants the best for you and this is the reason why you will not divulge any deep dark secrets or do anything that is against your will or standards.
A lot of times people ask me what hypnosis feel like ? And the thing is, there is no specific hypnotised feeling. For some it feels like a heavy sinking feeling, others feel a light floating sensation, others just feel very relaxed and some feel absolutely nothing even though they are deeply hypnotised. Hypnosis is a personal experience, experienced by each person in their own way.
Hypnosis is those automatic processes that we do without thinking about them. Examples of everyday occurring hypnosis; 1. When you drive your car while thinking about everything but the driving process and all of a sudden you're at your destination or you realise that you've missed your offramp. 2. When you are so engaged in a movie and you know they are just actors playing a role but when it doesn't end well for your favourite character you feel really sad. 3. When watching a 3d movie and you actually duck for an incoming projectile.
So it's a very natural process that you are doing anyway, now just learn to do it better and use it to your advantage!
